The Tokarev TBP12 is a semi-automatic 12 gauge bullpup: the action sits behind the grip, so an 18.5-inch barrel fits in a 29.5-inch overall length at 7.7 pounds. This version pairs an OD Green synthetic stock with blue/black metal. It feeds from T-1919-style detachable magazines, one included, for a 5+1 load, and the 3-inch chamber accepts 3-inch shells. A full-length Picatinny rail runs along the top for optics, folding backup irons are fitted, and the two-position AR-type safety will be familiar to rifle shooters. Full, modified and improved cylinder chokes come with a wrench.

New Jersey's three-shell limit for deer shotguns means the magazine-fed TBP12 is a range, training and defensive gun here rather than a hunting gun. The appeal is handling: the whole gun is shorter than a conventional 18.5-inch-barrel shotgun by roughly the length of a stock, which matters indoors. Changing chokes lets you tighten the pattern for clays or open it for close work, and the rail is long enough for an optic plus accessories.
