The 555 Enhanced is the dressed-up version of Stevens' over/under, here in 12 gauge with 28-inch barrels on a vented mid-rib, chambered for 2 3/4 and 3 inch shells and threaded for removable chokes. The receiver is stainless with engraving, the barrels are black anodized, and the checkered wood stock and forend give a 14.5-inch length of pull. Our listing says used; the supplier says new, with a stock photo.

As a 12 gauge it clears New Jersey's 10 to 20 gauge deer rule, and with two barrels it holds under the three-shell limit, so loaded with slugs or legal buckshot it can hunt the Six-Day Firearm season of December 7 to 12 and any Permit Shotgun season your Deer Management Zone allows. Outside deer season the 3-inch chambers and choke threads make it a general-purpose bird and clays gun.
