The H. Koon Snake Charmer is a stainless steel single-shot break-action .410, serial 71026, from the 1970s. Its 18-inch barrel has an excellent bore, and the furniture is a black molded polymer forend and pistol grip stock with a short 9-inch length of pull. The metal shows moderate marks throughout and the supplier calls overall condition very good.
This is about as compact and simple as a shotgun gets: one shell, a stainless barrel that shrugs off weather, and a stock short enough to pack. New Jersey keeps deer shotguns between 10 and 20 gauge, so a .410 like this is a small-game and plinking gun in the state rather than a deer gun. The 9-inch pull also makes it one of the few .410s that fits a very small-framed shooter, which is worth knowing if you are introducing someone to shotguns.
