This 20 gauge over/under was built in 2012 by Karl Lippard of Colorado Springs under the John Wilkes, London name, serial 15553. It follows the Boss layout: 28-inch ventilated-rib tubes, 3-inch chambers and interchangeable Briley tubes supplied in SK and IC. The six-pin sidelocks carry engraving with gold inlay, the single trigger is non-selective, the ejectors are automatic, and there is a manual safety.
The Turkish walnut shows strong figure, with checkering cut by hand and an oil finish, running 14 1/4 inches to a Purdey-style pad covered in leather, with drop of 1 1/2 to 2 1/4 inches. Condition is reported as very good, with only faint handling marks and excellent bores, and the factory case comes along. In New Jersey, 20 gauge is the smallest bore the state permits for deer and two barrels sit under the shell cap, but the SK and IC tubes say what this gun is for: upland birds and the clays course.
