Remington's 1100 in its slug configuration: a semi-automatic 12 gauge with a 22-inch smoothbore slug barrel fitted with iron sights. The metal is blued with an engraved receiver, and the checkered walnut stock and forend measure 14 inches to the original butt plate. Supplier notes: the stock may be a factory replacement, the wood shows light handling marks with no cracks, the metal has some scuffs and a few small spots of light speckling, and the bore is excellent. Serial number M138690V.

Few guns fit New Jersey deer hunting as directly as a sighted slug gun. Deer in the state are taken only with shotgun, muzzleloader or bow, shotguns must be 10 to 20 gauge and fire slugs or buckshot, and the magazine may hold no more than three shells. A 12 gauge 1100 with iron sights is therefore ready for the Six-Day Firearm season December 7 to 12 and for the Permit Shotgun dates in your Deer Management Zone, as published in the 2026-27 Hunting Digest.
