The MAC 1014 Marine from Military Armament Corporation is a 12 gauge semi-automatic run by a self-regulating gas piston. Its 18.5-inch barrel has a 3-inch chamber and takes Benelli Mobil choke tubes; the tube magazine gives 5+1. Nickel plating covers the metal for corrosion resistance. Sights are a ghost ring rear and a blade front, a Picatinny rail on the receiver accepts optics, and a manual safety is standard. It weighs 8.2 pounds and measures 40 inches overall.

Piston operation and a nickel finish point to a shotgun that gets used in bad weather and cleaned later. In New Jersey a 12 gauge falls within the deer gauge rule, and the Mobil choke threads let you fit a tube for slugs or buckshot, but the magazine would have to be limited to three shells before the Six-Day Firearm season in December. Most buyers will run it as the defensive and tactical shotgun it was built as, with the ghost ring giving a fast sight picture at short range.
