Military Armament Corp.'s MAC 2 Tactical 3 is a semi-automatic 12 gauge defense shotgun with a 24-inch vent rib barrel, chambered for 2 3/4 and 3 inch shells. It takes Benelli/Mobil-pattern removable chokes. A fiber-optic front sight, black anodized finish and checkered black synthetic stock and forend with a 14-inch length of pull round it out. Listed as used here; the supplier lists it as new with a stock photo.

The 24-inch barrel gives it a longer sight line than a short home gun, and the choke threads let it double as a field shotgun. In New Jersey a 12 gauge is inside the 10 to 20 gauge deer rule, so plugged to three shells and loaded with slugs or legal buckshot it can hunt the Six-Day Firearm season of December 7 to 12 or a Permit Shotgun season in your zone. The 14-inch pull fits a shooter in heavy winter clothing.
