Iver Johnson built the Skeet-er in the 1930s, and this one is a .410 side-by-side with 28-inch barrels under a matted solid rib and a single bead. The chambers are 3 inches, the chokes are fixed and measure .015 in the right tube (Full) and .007 in the left (Modified). It is a boxlock without ejectors, with double triggers and an automatic safety. Pull is 14 1/4 inches to the original Iver Johnson butt plate, drop runs 1 3/4 to 2 3/4 inches, and the gun weighs 6 pounds 5 ounces. Serial number S25305.
Condition as reported: excellent bores, good bluing with normal wear and handling marks, and very good wood. The stock has a professionally repaired crack reinforced with a cross plug that is hard to spot beyond its round outline. A .410 falls outside the 10 to 20 gauge range New Jersey sets for deer, so treat this as a vintage small-bore for the collector or the clays field rather than a December gun.
