Chiappa's Triple Honcho is a break-open 12 gauge with three barrels, each 18.5 inches long and chambered for 3-inch shells, fired through a single trigger. It carries a Picatinny rail mount and synthetic furniture and is built as a home defense gun. This example, serial TC7020, is modern production, has some light handling marks on the barrels, and is otherwise in very good condition with excellent bores. SKU L2026-00636, used.
New Jersey deer rules call for a shotgun of 10 to 20 gauge that holds no more than three shells and fires slugs or buckshot, and a three-barrel break action meets that count by design. That makes the Honcho a plausible gun for the December Six-Day Firearm season or the Permit Shotgun seasons in your Deer Management Zone, as well as a close-range defensive shotgun at home. The rail accepts a light or optic, and the 3-inch chambers cover the heavier slug loads.
