In 12 gauge the 686 Silver Pigeon I pairs 28-inch vent rib barrels, chambered for 3-inch shells and threaded for removable chokes, with a stainless receiver cut with floral engraving. The barrels are blued and the stock is checkered wood with an oil finish. Five extra chokes are included. We list the gun as used; the supplier calls it new and shows a stock photo, so confirm which you are getting before you order.

A 12 gauge over/under with 3-inch chambers covers more of New Jersey than the small bores: it sits inside the 10 to 20 gauge window for deer, and an over/under holds two shells, under the state's three-shell limit. Loaded with slugs or legal buckshot that puts it in play for the Six-Day Firearm season December 7 to 12 and the Permit Shotgun dates in your zone, while the choke set handles clays and birds the rest of the year.
