The Typhoon X12 is a semi-automatic 12 gauge with a fixed synthetic stock in gray, an 18.5-inch barrel and a 3-inch chamber that takes 2 3/4-inch and 3-inch shells. It feeds from detachable five-round magazines and three of them are included, giving 5+1 with a round chambered. Weight is 7.7 pounds, overall length 38 inches. Ghost ring sights are fitted, the receiver rail is optic ready, and there is a manual safety.

Three magazines in the box means reloading on the range is a matter of changing boxes rather than thumbing shells into a tube, which is the point of the design for training and defensive work. New Jersey holds deer shotguns to three shells, so the X12 is not a December woods gun; it is a home and range shotgun for a Garden State owner. The ghost ring rear gives a fast, forgiving sight picture at the short distances it is meant for, and the gray finish sets it apart from the usual black shotgun.
