The Super Black Eagle 3 is Benelli's inertia-driven semi-automatic 12 gauge, here dressed in Gore Optifade Timber camouflage with Tungsten Cerakote on the metal. The 28-inch barrel carries a 3 1/2-inch chamber, capacity is 3+1, and the gun weighs 7.2 pounds at 49.6 inches overall. A bead front sight, cross-bolt safety and 14 3/8-inch length of pull round out the setup, and five choke tubes come in the box, from Cylinder through Full.

The inertia action cycles light target loads and 3 1/2-inch magnums without any gas adjustment, which keeps the receiver cleaner over a long day in a marsh. Timber camo suits flooded woods and brushy edges rather than open water. New Jersey limits deer shotguns to three shells, so a plug for the Six-Day Firearm season in December or the Permit Shotgun dates set by zone is the one change needed; with the Full choke in, it also doubles as a turkey gun.
