TriStar's Setter S/T in .410 is a break-action over-under with 28-inch barrels, a ventilated rib and a fiber optic front sight. Both barrels have 3-inch chambers, the gun weighs 5.7 pounds, length of pull is 14 1/4 inches and overall length 43.75 inches. A single selective trigger picks the barrel, extractors lift fired hulls for removal, and the manual safety sits on top. The receiver is satin silver, the stock is walnut with a high-gloss finish, and three Beretta-style choke tubes, improved cylinder, modified and full, are included.

The .410 is too small for New Jersey deer, which must be taken with a 10-to-20 gauge shotgun, so this Setter is a small-game and clay-target gun in the Garden State. At 5.7 pounds it carries easily all day, and the three chokes let you open the pattern for close flushes or tighten it with the full tube when shots stretch. The selective trigger lets you fire the tighter barrel first when it matters.
