The Tristar Cobra III Field is a 20 gauge pump-action with a 26-inch barrel, a 3-inch chamber and 5+1 capacity. The barrel is blued, carries a fiber optic front sight and takes Beretta/Benelli Mobil-style chokes; improved cylinder, modified and full tubes come in a box with a wrench. The stock and forearm are walnut-finished wood with a rubber recoil pad and swivel studs, the safety is a cross-bolt, weight is 6.8 pounds, length of pull 14.25 inches and overall length 46.5 inches.

A 20 gauge pump is a flexible choice for a New Jersey hunter: it sits inside the state's 10-to-20 gauge rule for deer, handles slugs and buckshot through an open choke, and runs light target loads on the clays course the rest of the year. Before the December Six-Day Firearm season or your zone's Permit Shotgun dates, the 5+1 tube has to be reduced to the state's three-shell count. The swivel studs take a sling, and the rubber pad is there for the heavier 3-inch loads.
