Pointer's Acrius is a 12 gauge over-under with 28-inch chrome-lined barrels, 3-inch chambers, a raised ventilated rib and a fiber optic front sight. The tang safety can be reached from either side, the stock is Turkish walnut with a 14.5-inch length of pull, and the receiver carries a floral coin finish against blue and black metalwork. Weight is 7.1 pounds, overall length 44.5 inches, and five choke tubes are included: cylinder, improved cylinder, modified, improved modified and full.

Two shots in a break action already sit under New Jersey's three-shell cap for deer, and 12 gauge is within the 10-to-20 gauge rule, so an Acrius can go from the clay course to the Six-Day Firearm season in December with an open tube fitted for slugs or buckshot. The full and improved modified tubes handle the longer shots in upland cover, and the floral coin receiver gives it a dressier look than a plain field gun.
