The M206 Spurless from Rock Island Armory is a small-frame double-action revolver in .38 Special with a 2-inch fully shrouded barrel and an enclosed hammer with no spur. It holds six rounds, weighs 24 ounces and runs 9.25 inches overall. The sights are fixed: a front blade and a smooth channel cut into the frame at the rear. Checkered wood grips and a black Parkerized finish over frame, cylinder and barrel complete the package, and there is no manual safety to operate.

This is a compact revolver built for concealed carry and home defense, and for a New Jersey owner it is about as simple as a defensive handgun gets: the spurless hammer means nothing catches on a jacket on the draw, and double-action operation keeps the manual of arms to pulling the trigger. Buying it takes a Permit to Purchase a Handgun filed through the NJSP online system to your local police; the permit is valid 90 days with one automatic renewal.
