Cimarron's Model P is a single-action revolver in .44 Special, built in the full-size configuration with a 7.5-inch blued barrel and a case-colored frame. It holds six rounds, weighs 2.75 pounds and runs 13.25 inches overall. The grip is walnut, the sights are the standard fixed type, and there is no manual, grip or trigger safety on the gun.

The long barrel gives a sight radius suited to deliberate range work and to the single-action shooting sports, which is where most New Jersey owners will use a .44 Special Model P. Each handgun in the state needs its own Permit to Purchase, available at 21 and filed through the NJSP online application system to your local police; the dealer then runs a State Police background check before release. Because the state allows one handgun purchase per 30 days without an exemption, plan the order if a second handgun is on your list.
