The Diamondback Sidekick is a nine-shot rimfire revolver that comes with two cylinders, one for .22 LR and one for .22 WMR, so you change calibers by changing cylinders. It has a 5.5-inch barrel, a gray finish and black polymer grips, weighs 32.5 ounces and measures 10.25 inches. The hammer works in single or double action, and the sights are a fixed blade front with a rear notch machined into the frame.

This is a plinker and trainer: inexpensive .22 LR for an afternoon of cans and paper, the magnum cylinder when you want more reach. Nine chambers keep it under New Jersey's 10-round line. The state requires a Permit to Purchase a Handgun for each one, filed online through the NJSP FARS portal to your local police; you need to be 21, the permit lasts 90 days with a single automatic renewal, and one handgun purchase is allowed each 30 days unless you hold an exemption.
